Palliative Home Care
The Palliative Home Care programme aims to improve the quality of life of terminally ill cancer patients, by providing medical and psychosocial support to patients and their families, in their homes. Our home care team comprises five full-time nurses and a volunteer doctor who is trained in palliative care. At present, the team is only able to accept patients living within a 20km radius from our office. Once a patient is registered, the team will visit him/her at home for an initial assessment, before discussing further management plans with his/her relatives.
NCSMSB does not charge for its home care services but relies on public donations to support its programmes.
