The National Cancer Society of Malaysia Sarawak Branch in collaboration with the Malaysian Hospice and Palliative Care Council, is happy to announce the revival of the biennial Malaysian Hospice Council Congress, now returning to a physical format. Anticipated by many, this year’s Congress will take place in Sibu, Sarawak.

Date: 25th – 27th July 2024
The theme for this year is “Strengthening Connections and Collaborations in Palliative Care”. We invite everyone including doctors, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, volunteers and staff who work in hospice and palliative care in Malaysia and abroad to come and join us for this Congress.
The Congress will host distinguished figures from across the globe, featuring a keynote address by Dr. Frank Ferris from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, focusing on the theme. Additionally, Dr. M.R. Rajagopal from Pallium India will speak on “Making Healthcare Human.”
The event also boasts a diverse lineup of local and international speakers, including professionals from various fields such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, allied healthcare practitioners, volunteers, and staff. The talks will cover a wide spectrum of topics, encompassing adult and paediatric palliative care in both hospital and community settings.
